It's hard to believe Christina's only 25. Granted over the past few years you could tell she was young, with the type of clothing she'd wear, and the command of the pop culture that she's shown.
But with her latest release, the maturity and growth that comes through represents a much older soul.
She touches on some of the changes in herself in the lyrics of the songs, such as 'they say I'm lookin' like a lady, they say that love has gone and changed me.' And it seems like it has.
Her marriage in November of last year produced not only a stellar 2-disc effort, but it's also birthed a new Christina, whose 'softer side' is showing. Presenting herself as more of a 1940s pin-up girl is in line with the era her album highlites, which starts in the 30s and carries influence all the way to the soulful 60s. With a couple of pretty sick modern beats to drive it all along.
